One night, while rocking my sweet Declan to sleep, I felt his back wiggle. He looked like he was in pain. I was about to message his doctor when suddenly I heard…

My little guy burst into tears! The kid was terrified at the terrible sounds (and smells) emerging from his tooty tuckas.

That wasn’t the only time. Night after night, the little man was shocked at the sounds coming out of his body. And no wonder! I mean, he was only 5-months Earth-side.

So, to soothe my little stinker’s woes, I wrote a little ditty to support my little dude to know,

It’s just a fart.

Whether it was the soul I poured into creating poetry about potty talk or just hearing his mama’s voice, the writing worked.

As I rocked and read this narrative of noise, I promised myself that someday, one day, I would turn this into a book for all the stinky booties and boy-moms of the word.

And now, it’s almost here.

Meet our Fart-ist.

Amanda swift is a children’s book illustrator, specializing in faith-based and, now, fart designs.

Since she was a young girl, Amanda loved doodling and tagging along with her dad to the library. Her enthusiasm for books inspired his rule: she could only check out as many books as she could carry. Well, her dad really underestimated how strong his determined little girl could be!

Amanda’s work includes The Adventures of Zoey Zazzle, I’m a Little Sister, and St. Joseph’s Hammer.

Amanda is a Christian and lives in Ohio with her two sons and two dogs.
